Anbessa

Track and music videos make for an unlikely combination, but here is your chance to check out a music video with a track theme. Anbessa tells of the passing of the baton from the Emperor (Haile Gebrselassie) to the new lion (Kenenisa Bekele) and is based on the 10,000m Olympic final in Athens. With a catchy tune and meaningful lyrics (there's a partial translation), this is an eminently viewable video. What I find particularly amazing is how Bekele and Sihine keep looking back for Gebrselassie, who is unable to keep up with them, even slowing down the pace so he can catch up to them, in spite of the fact that they're playing at the biggest stage of competition.
